I own a 03 Fronty Desert Runner with a non-supercharged v-6.  It is my daily driver so I'm not looking to do any major modifications but I'm sick of the open diff and the over the top gearing!  I'm trying to weigh my options since there are no LSD units for the 33 spline axle.  Do I...

1.  Just look for a junkyard rear end out of a 4x4 and change the ring and pinion  (and how do you identify if it has a posi unit installed?)

2. Swap the rear axle completely with something that has gearing closer to 4.11 (it looks like Dana 44s are the popular swap?)

Like I stated before, this is my daily driver so I'm looking to do something that could be done in a weekend and something that wont cost me a small fortune
