I've got a 2004 XE-V6 Frontier 2x4 'Pre-Runner' style
that *feels* very under powered.

Going 70 MPH down the road, I can turn OFF the overdrive
button, leaving the gas pedal in the same spot, and the
truck will increase speed.

I want to go with a lower rear end gear for this truck,
and I was wanting to know from others what the common
"low gearing" is for this truck? If you know the part
numbers, that would be Great!

Thanks,
Joe

Follow-up:

I've been to the two sites listed in Ref 1 and Ref 2
below. I now know that I have the CA46 Axle, which
supposedly came with the 4.625:1 rear end.

Those seem like very low gears, and the truck has the 3.3
liter V6.

Do I need lower gears?

I don't think the truck really needs more HP for what we
use it for.
