Have a 2003 Frontier XE with 80K miles on it.  Replaced the shocks with KYB and find that the ride is still kinda soft and spungie.  Any ideas?

Try some Ranch shocks...the 5000 series is tight, the 9000 (?) series is adjustable so you can tune it in.  On a Chvy forum I visit, KYBs are termed "very soft" and folks there avoid them it seems.  I guess it is all in what you are looking for as a ride...highway cruiser or rock carwler.
