Hi,

i'm thinking about buying a used frontier. It'll be used mainly as a communter truck so I'm looking at a 4 cyl and 2wd. Also, I'd like to get an extended cab for the extra room.

Question: I'd like to get a manual but an automatic is available (below) for purchase. Any issues with automatics-like early failure? What is the timing chain replacement interval? Anything else I should look out for with frontiers?

The below is a 1998 king cab, auto, 4 cyl with 147,000 for $3,650. I want to get them to $3,000. What do you think?

More than I would want to pay for a 13 year old truck w/
150K on it. It would have to be very clean and all
maintenance records available. The worries are with the
timing chain guides breaking due to chain stretch and
slapping. There again, maintenance is the key.

tough break. i was lookin to sell mine. 99 frontier xe with 82,400 mi. silver. 2 wheel drive extended cab. just sold for 3,200
