Today I took off in my 02 SC Frontier and soon noticed that the overdrive light was on indicating the over drive was off. I looked all over the cab for a button but could not find one. My 02 doesnt have the button on the wiper arm like most. Anyway...I drove for about 10 min than shut the truck off and restarted it...and boom the light goes off and I have my overdrive!! Whats the deal with that? How odes it go on & off by itself??

Thank You

It's called a "default" type switch. It is located on your
shifter assy. It reverts back to "normal" when the key is
cycled off. How long have you owned the truck????? Hittin'
the eggnog a little too heavy are we??????

It's off when it SAYS OFF. Drive it and push the button and
you can tell when it is on or off.
