2003 Frontier 5 speed
At 70 MPH, my engine is buzzing 3000RPM. At that speed I get 17MPG. Would like better.
At 65 MPH, the enging is still spinning at 2800 RPM but the mileage is quite a bit better @ 19mpg.

At the loss of low speed "grunt", I would be interested in a higher speed ring&pinion that would keep the RPM's down around 1000RPM's at 70.
If I recall correctly, the rrear gear I have now is something like 4:288/1. Is there something in the NISMO catalogs that show around a 3.5/1?

I may adapt a 9" Ford in there for gets and shiggles!

I am no expert at all in this area.  But I would call Courtesy Nissan Parts (Google them) down in Texas and talk to those folks.  They would probably know.  Or got to some of the Nissan sites for off-roaders and pose this question.
