I have a 2005 Nissan Frontier Nismo with 70,000 miles on it.  A while ago my low pressure signal went off.  When I got home I tried to remove the metal valve caps and they were frozen on.. I had to use plier to remove them and basically 'tore' then off.  I checked the pressure and one tire was low and I put air in them.  I never replaced the caps. Today I went to have 4 new tires put on and the tire dealer said they could not remove the valve stems to let the air out of the tires because they were galded on (I think that was the word he used) and they had to let the air out of the tires manually (pushing in on the valve stem tip).  The question I have and I don't know if anyone has the answer, are these just normal valve stems or special ones.  I was thinking of spraying them with WD 40 and trying to remove them and replacing them with new ones.

Thanks,

Bruce

They are the low tire pressure sensors.

You can try and use penetrating oil on them, I never had much luck doing so!
The sensors are available aftermarket and will program to your vehicle!

I got them from NAPA, at least they had them for my 2005!
It was a few years ago so I don't remember how much they were, cheaper
than factory though!
