  I didnt say what model Frontier i had , or what engine it has , or why i was looking to add an air intake. 

   The model is a 2000,  2 wheel, 4 cylinder, auto, air conditioning, new air filter,  really bad gas milage ( worst 14 mpg to best 22mpg),  no power, truck has 120 thousand miles and would pass for 70 thousand miles.

 I was wondering about adding an additiional air intake (2 1/2" or 3") from bumper to side of  the breather.

 Not looking to change the original set up, because it has some sensors in the intake box on the left inner fender.        Not looking to soup it up, just wondered if it would  make it breath any better?     thanks:  Doug
