Usually, whne it is down and does not go back up, the window has fallen out of the track. You should be able to put it back in the track and slide it up to hold it in place.    It may not even be the switch that is bad

While holding the switch in the up position, tap on the motor or door panel, possible brushes are sticking in the motor.

I am  very sure the motor is good. I tried to raise it up by getting some wire to the blue/black wire(upwire). I had some 10 gage wire and a toggle and a ground to the door. Nothing. I then tried the factory switch again and nothing. The motor did get a extra load in the down postion of the button. I tried pulling the window  alone and with the switch being used. Can anyone know what i can do or another website for help. Thanks

BY reversing the polarity on the motor wires determines the direction the motor turns. If you run power and ground one way the motor goes up, reverse them it should go down.Does the motor appear to be straining like bound up??? It is very possible the cable has broke on the regulator assy.

I'm having the same problem on a 2000 Frontier, but no recall on 2000's.  I've taken the door panel off and see where the motor is, but I'm totally clueless on how to go about removing the motor with regards to the window cable.  Can't find any instructions or diagrams.  Can someone provide some insight or point me in the right direction?  Thanks!

Try pulling up very hard on the switch, sometimes this will allow them to operate. You can not pull the window up by hand with the motor and regulator connected. When you are trying to hot wire it, are you sure you have a good ground to the chassis and not to the door?
