Hi everybody!

Just had Meineke do the front brakes (because I didnt wanna!)and they noticed the water outlet flange at the block has been leaking. They quoted me 4.2 hours labor to replace it!I got home and checked it out.Its definetly ugly ,but it looks like I can pull the idler pulley plate and access the bolts .Theyre telling me the whole intake has to come off! After lookin at it close I kinda think they just want ta clean  my wallet more!Does anyone concur??

From the factory they were sealed with silicone. TSB shows an updated gasket to seal it. Are you close to being due for a timing belt??? that would be the time to do it.  Or maybe due for a knock sensor?? It can be done w/o pulling the intake or the cover, but it's a pia.< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">

Hey Thanx for your reply!I just picked up the new gasket and I,m psyching myself up to maybe tackle it in the morning.Already had the timing belt and water pump done not that long ago.The guy had to of noticed the outlet weeping at that time!It would,ve been a piece of cake!

I should have picked up 2 gaskets !It was a buck 49!

I,ll get back to you on my experience for sure!

Best Regards,MAX
