for some reason lately when i am in traffic and i have the air on, my engine temperature goes in the red  and when i put the heat on full blast it goes back to normal. this only happens when i'm in traffic.   i have an 02.       any advice?

Thermostat ?? Fan clutch???? May want to try cleaning the rad and cond with garden hose-spray from engine compartment out to front.Belt tight???Antifreeze set to -30 ,if too concentrated, will cause over  heating.
