Hey guys, before I continue, if this post doesnt belong
here, just let me know.

I have a 2002 Frontier, 4 door, V-6, 2WD Longbed, this info
isnt really relevant to answer my question, but I figured I
would just put it out there...

...Is it possible to put a Titan's V8 into an 02 Frontier?
Ive always wanted to do this, but I've never been sure if
it would work. Just wanted to see what you guys thought.

I know there's room in the newer Frontiers, and you can get Pathfinders with V-8s, but I don't know if you can do it on the smaller Frontiers. Nissan WAS going to put the V-8 in the 2010 Frontiers, but last summer's high gas prices nixed that idea pretty quick.
I can't really see that it would be beneficial to anyone except the oil companies, though, as the Frontier doesn't have enough weight for towing much more than it does now.

Do a search for V-8 Xterra. On Club frontier.org , they show a V-8 powered Xterra.

Well I was told by a few seperate mechanics that it would
actually increase the gas mileage, simply because it is
using less power to move the truck than the V6.

I saw the V8 Xterra. Looks sick.

Anyone know where I could buy a V8 Nissan engine?

Lets go about the basic list, and then you'll probably need a few extra items on top of it.

Engine, ECM, Tranny adaptor or tranny from Titan, New Drive Shaft, Tranny ECM reprogram for either the stock tranny or titan's, beefier front suspnension.  Modified engine and tranny mounts.  New engine wire harness.  Possibly bigger radiator.  possible aftermarket fuel pump.

As long as the motor will fit in on the mounts, you might could convert it to the truck. im actually trying to figure out if i can convert my o1 frontier, into a subaru. because i think they have the conversion kits for things like that, and ive never heard of anything like it.. i know it sounds crazy, but i wanna try.
