I have a CC LB v-6 auto 2008 and wonder if I could tow a coachmen adrenelin blast  toyhauler?It is a 15' box dual axle with brakes and weighs 3200 lbs empty. I am not worried about the weight of the trailer but in its overall size in relation to the truck, does anyone have any experience with towing trailers of any size and care to comment?

I`ve towed 20ft trailer behind mine before keep the od off tow at a safe speed. make sure that your tire pressues are set right too for your truck and trailer

I think you will be just fine, as long as you do not encounter high cross winds. I have the same truck as you , CC LWB, 4X4. Truck weighs about 4500 lbs.
Just be sure the trailer is level when hooked up to your truck, and also make sure the back end of the truck is not bogged down.

that won't be problem ive pulled a 16ft trailer that weighted a lot more than than in a kc with the manual tranny with no problem at all

Guys my manual (09 SE CC 4wd ) only said don't pull with Cruise on ! Most auto trucks have towing button (switch) ! Phoned Nissan and was told to haul in regular overdrive ! Looks like you would take it out of OD !! Have boat to tow and don't want to mess Tran. up ! Help !!

Just got finished with our trip, Florida to New Hampshire and back towing an enclosed trailer with two full size Harleys. Did fine and got between 12.5-14.5 MPG @ 65-70 mph. I tried towing with the OD off but it ate gas bad, Left the od engaged and it was fine even on the hills and gas mileage improved too.

The rig I tow with my 07CCLB is a 23 foot flatbed dual axle that weight 1800lb empty and I typically load it to about 4000 lbs, so you shouldn't have too much trouble other than gas mileage. The hitch bumper works fine for lighter loads but I recommend a heavy duty load distributing receiver hitch if you haven't installed one. Hopefully you have installed a brake module in your truck so you can take advantage of the electric trailer brakes. Insurance companies have a nasty way of nullifying a policy if you have an accident while towing and you haven't hooked up the trailer brakes.  While you're at it, install a stabilizer bar too unless you plan to keep your speed below 60. That way sway won't be a an issue. The stabilizer bar improves the ride a lot at highway speeds and adds to peace of mind, especially on downhill grades.  It'll tow at 75mph no problem but personally, I tow at 65 or less to get better mileage and baby the transmission. This truck has to last me 15 years like my old Toyota T-100 did, plus I like to minimize my support for the oil companies as much as possible.

I've towed all kinds of stuff with my Frontier SE CC 4x4, but most of the time I pull a 32ft. ultra light camping trailer that's 5,000 dry and around 5,600 loaded, with the truck bed full of firewood and camping gear. The Frontier is made for towing, with a built-in transmission cooler and pre-wired for trailer brakes and a Class IV hitch. I have a factory Class IV receiver and a Tekonsha Prodigy controller with 3 boost levels. I use a weight-distributing Husky hitch with tension bars, and a single friction sway control that takes care of crosswinds very effectively. I recently hauled my 32 footer 590 miles to NJ through the mountains of NY and PA, and as far as the truck was concerned it was business as usual. Towing mostly uphill I averaged around 13 mpg. Two things: get a sway control, and never tow with cruise on. The only drawback of this truck with respect to towing is that you have no optional or aftermarket towing mirrors to choose from, except those cheap strap-ons that jiggle. If you know of anyone who makes nice replacement extensible mirrors, let me know.

Fronteeer,is your truck short or long bed ? Did you pull with OD on or off ? Thanks for information ! We are planing to buy travel trailer and is't good to know we can haul it !
