it all depends upon if you have ABS or not. In a standard brake system a regular bleed would be the only thing you would need to do. But with ABS, there is a certain sequence that would have to be done when bleeding, then possibly have the codes cleared.
Bleeding the proporting valve is usually only needed when you replace a part or hose between it and the Master cylinder. As it's need to get the air out before the valve.
