So I went and bought a 92 Jeep Comanche 4x4. Just something to play around with. I am planning on flat towing this thing about 400 miles to some trails in texas. I could drive it...but I'd rather just tow it. Anyone have some experience towing something like this with a truck like mine? The truck weighs about 3300lbs.
Just for clarification I have: '04 Frontier 2.4 5speed XE king cab CAI and Flowmaster Exhaust

I'm pretty sure it doesn't. What I'm wondering is if my frontier could pull that jeep with out breaking anything...on the nissan.

I have a ton of flat towing miles. You’ll need to hook up the turn signals, stop lights & ETC. Those that have automatics need a extra tranny cooler. Remove weight from the jeep and add it to the Frontier. Make sure the brakes have a cool down period after more than casual use. Put an in tow sign in the back jeep window. And stay out of other drivers way!
Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..
America got strong and rich by jobs manufacturing and selling products. Not by importing junk and outsourcing! Or being run by politicians controlled by Wall Street bankers!

Heres the deal your goona be pulling a truck which weighs almost as much as your frontier. that will be putting alot of strain on your drivtrain.Be easy on the clutch you should also lube everthing on your frontier. Also do what LAKOTA posted

Take some extra cooanl pre-mixed with distilled water. Use a good syn oil in the Nissan (Mobil 1 EP 5W-30, for example) and a high end filter. Keep your tires inflated about 3-5 psi above normal. Depending on when you last changed the oil in the manual trans, you might want to do that as well.

I have Royal Purple in the motor (with a mobil 1 filter), trans and the rear end. And I plan on adding some coolant...maybe even changing it. I have to change the coolant in the Jeep, so I might do both at one time.

You might want to spray some detergent or PAM on the undersides and fender wells. The red dirt at Barnwell Mountain is mighty tenacious. Barnwell has trails well noted for breaking 4x4s so the trailer is a good idea.

Does any one of you really believe we can fix the countries problems by spending my two great grandsons money when the biggest crooks are the ones making the laws?
