Just purchased my first NISSAN truck.  Was a Toyota truck guy.  Still am to some degree but liking my 2001 Nissan Frontier SC crew cab.  Only problem is it sits too low for my liking at it's stock stance.  Lower than the toyota TRDs in their stock stance.  I want to lift it and want folks who have lifted their crew cabs to tell me what lifts they used.  I was going to just do a body lift but man, you can see the frame ALREADY as it sits and it may look pretty ugly with just a body lift unless you think the step bars (which I do not have on it) may help hide that.

I do NOT want to remove the front bumper faschia (where the fog lights are) or compromise the look in any way as I love the front end of the truck.  I saw Rancho has a 2.5 susp lift but I would need new upper control arms (not included).  What have some of you other guys done?  Seems that these are awkward to lift hence the lack of suspension systems out there by major vendors for these trucks.  It sucks cuz there are soo many available for the Tacomas and not these considering how rugged they look.  Nissan screwed up with this as far as I'm concerned.

Look forward to your experiences and suggestions to get me on some path to getting mine lifted.  I saw member supercharger1's white frontier lifted and it looks PERFECT.  That is what I want except on a crew cab.

Thanks

GB2;

Welcome to the group. Can't help you... I just cranked the torsion bars 5/8s inch and one inch blocks in the rear. I met Supercharger before he lifted that jewel but haven't heard about him in over a year.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

It would be nice if our members would add their vehicle information to their signature (similar to mine) plus add their City and State . A member in the same town might be willing to drop by and help you with a problem. Or drink all your beer!

Thanks.

Others have told me about the torsion bar trick and adding blocks or leaves in the back.  I just don't know if that will be sufficient enough.  Perhaps that with a body lift will be good.  I just want to see somebody who did lift their crewcab and see what their truck looks like after doing so.  I'll have to spend a day and go through member galleries to see if I find someone who did this.

I haven't checked with those places specifically.  I have just been googling Nissan Frontier llifts and many sites come up but when you page down through the systems offered, most are for the new body style frontiers.  This 2001-2004 style didn't have a following with the aftermark suspension guys for some reason.  Like I said, are they that hard or difficult to lift that hardly any vendor offers lift solutions for them?  Crazy!

I guess I'm just going to call my 4wheeldrive local shop and ask them to do some research for me.

I've seen others mention that vendor and I just found their site and will contact them to see what complete systems they offer for this year and body style.  Thank you!
