Hello I am new to the forum... I was hoping for a little direction. I actually drive a titan but I have a wrecked 98 nissan frontier, its a manual. I am turning into a hunting truck. It has set for about 2 years. the truck was wrecked head on into a metel street light pole which then fell on top of the truck too. it has pretty bad damage to the front and the top of the truck... well I started trying to work on in last week.. I bought a new battery and bolted it up the light and blinkers worked fine, but when I turned the ignition on I don't get anything no warning lights, no mileage reading, no starter engaging, I mean nothing. all the fuses I checked looked good is there a relay or main wire that got severed from the frontal impact that needs attention any help would be great.

Welcome to the group!

I guess our Nissan Gurus haven't got home from work yet. Sorry but I'm mearly a moderator here. <sniff> <sniff>

There may be a fused wire burned out. Lots of old vehicles had them. Look for for wires that the covering looks like it got hot. Some Jeeps have them close to the altenator.

I used to be quite indecisive but maybe now days I’m not so sure!

Check the fusible links at the battery, even if they look intact, pull on the insulation to see if the wire with-in is burnt. Check all fuses under the hood and inside the vehicle. Also check the harness in the area of impact.
