I noticed that there are many concerned with their gas mileage. I bought my 07 nismo 4.0 auto 4x2 in febuary and since then as i do all my cars, have been doing testing on gasoine and gasoline brands. To get to the point, my results are that if u use the recommended regular you will only get 13.5-14 mpg in the city, 18-19 on the hwy, and a combo of 15.5. Premium isn't much better, but your truck will run smoother and faster in the midrange. Midgrade is the way to go. I get a solid 16.5 to 17.2 in the city, 18 to 20 mix and 21-23.6 all hwy with a high of 24.5 on a 300+ mile trip driving 70-73 mph. The reason why is the compression ratio. This seems to be the biggest factor in gas mileage. The frontier has a 9.7 :1 ratio. The average american truck has 9.2:1 to 9.6:1 which means they are designed to run on regular.
