Well, I have barely 113K mi on my Frontier (3.3 crew) and the engine light comes on. I go to Auto Zone to get their handy dandy free diagnostic and the codes for bad catalytic converter and knock sensor come up. The specific codes are :

CC - P0420 Catalytic converter bad

Knock sensor - P0325 Knock sensor bad

My question is this: is this normal for a truck with so low miles and whats the average cost on a job like this?

Thanks.

No but it's sarcasm is legendary, badum bum!

Well it idles somewhat choppy. Not smooth like it should. Seems to run ok but gas mileage leaves something to be desired especially lately.

dannyg does the have the get up and go when bought? IF a cat is plugged loss of perfomance happens. Now if your knock sensor could be giving you that weried idle jacing with your timming
