Just for everyones info.... I just replaced my factory radio with a Pioneer unit. To get the dash apart : take the cover off the shifter and console off first. It has several "pop in" clips. You will have to pull the shifter in drive to get the cover off. There are four screws holding the radio/ a/c panel in. Two at the bottom (where you removed the console cover) and two under the a/c controls. After you remove those, the radio / a/c panel pops off. Remove the harnesses for the 12V supply port and emergency flasher switch. Then remove the four screws from the radio mount, plugs, and antenna wire to remove the radio. I used a BEST harness kit (BHA7550)and BEST universal pocket (BKUPK750). Both with tax set me back $37. I followed the directions on both and had no problems. Make sure that you connect the ground wire to a screw on the body. I found one right on the LH side floor in front of the heater box. The wiring kit although it has a ground wire, the factory plug doesn't where it connects. Good Luck! The web site for BEST is www.bestkits.com

ive got a pioneer cd player on the way and soon ill be doin that same thing.  This website below i use a lot to figure out how to get this sh*t apart, for any type of car.  I mean like when i install it in my friends car because you know they figure "well you're an electrician, install my stereo" hah, electronics is different than electrical work, IE black is hot in electrical work and it's ground in electronics. Just a little knowledge for ya, haha.

Isn't that the truth. I was doing the same thing recently.. all I wanted to know was the factory wiring harness for a chevy silverado and some website wanted like $15 to tell me blue is power and blah blah blah... It's the same on ebay... it's all business and you don't really save a whole lot. You have to search for the deals.
