I'm wanting to get a muffler and single tip installed on my Frontier 3.3 V6. I know Flowmaster makes a 60 series muffler that is good for 6 cylinders but I also heard that Magnaflow mufflers offer a deeper tone and isn't as raspy. Anyone ever had either of these on their Frontier? Thanks

I believe both sites offer a vid or sound clips. I know I saw the 3.3L Frontier listed on one of them.

Flowmaster sucks. You should be able to drop a raquet ball in
one end of a muffler and have it come out the other, otherwise it is no
good.

i was looking for mufflers, specifically dual in dual out..but was having problems looking finding them with 2" in/out....reason being...i was just browsing to see if i could find a a muffler just a tad bit bigger to see if i could have an exhaust made in teh future that resembles the custom tube products muffler for their nissan..cause i think ti's a crock to pay 600 bucks for a cat back...well most of the ones i was finding from gibson/magnaflow and such only had 2.25" in/out in their dual in/dual out selection...but i ran across the flopro mufflers..and they have a V-force dual in/dual out with 2" that i thought would be good..was listenin to their sound clips and all seem to ahve a nice deep sound, but granted most of their apps were V8 trucks so they generally have nice growls to them anyway..but i guess i was wondering if anyone has experience with them on their fronty's..i know it's a long shot but thought i'd ask

go with the bigger 2.25" It'll help with that deep growl, especially if you put big tips on there.
Plus from what I've been hearing, FloPro is a cheap stock replacement

well as far as that racquet ball thing Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that would be a cherry bomb muffler straight through as for real mufflers they have sound dampeners or baffles so there is no way a ball could go straight through any hoo I have a flowmaster 50 series and have 2 and 1/4 off set and it sounds great every body likes a different sound though thats why there are so many different mufflers

There are a lot of mufflers that run straight through. Magnaflow makes several.
What do you think the result of all of those baffles and assinine
chambers in a Flowchoker muffler is? They reduce flow and velocity,
both are bad for power. Would you run a cold air intake full of
baffles and chambers?

number 1 rated muffler on the planet for a reason but thats why there are others out there to please everyone ,,,think about it if you could drop a racquet ball straight through why would you need a muffler .... thats a straight pipe and for say 5 bucks a foot for straight pipe why would anybody buy a muffler

Because the sound is what everyone is after... that's why Flowmaster is rated #1.
And the reason why you would get a muffler that drops through compared to a straight pipe is the sound. Plus there have been tests done that prove you get more power out of a small muffler than you do with just straight pipes.
