Hello all, new here.  I have a quick question.

I am thinking about selling my Hardbody in the next few months and getting a Frontier.  I am considering '01 or '02, definitely want a king cab and the 4 cylinder. (fuel economy)  I used to own a Frontier Crew Cab '01 SE - needless to say I loved it and I'm a die hard Nissan owner.

I'm wondering, is the 4 cyl. in the Frontier exactly the same as the KA24E in my Hardbody?  And can I expect the same reliability and/or problems in it (if it is the same engine)?

Any help would be cool and appreciated!!

NOPE... you'll be upgrading to the much more powerful KA24DE motor, the same motor originally found in the 2nd gen 240sx.

Just like the old KA24E, the DE requires a good amount of air to bring it alive.  (though there's alot more goodies available to bring it to life)

Click on the www link below to see mine, there's a slight intake mod (though one can be bought from www.4x4parts.com )  And a muffler upgrade.  Though all that power upgrading was negated by the fact I have a huge system in my truck.

BTW... Welcome to the org.
