Is the 4.0L 6 Speed Transmission, afdaptable to the ealier 3.3 L 2004 Frontier ?

I currently have a 2004 4 door Frontier with 5 speed manual. Wanted to upgrade transmission only. Besides shifter, I would need to change what other components ?

Is it going to be just drop in and bolt on.....most likely not. Though it probably could be done. Its just a matter of how determined you are, how much you know about engines, transmissions, and metal fabrication, and how much money you have.

Just like some people say you can't convert a 2x4 to a 4x4. You can, BUT its not an easy task because it can be very difficult to find/make the right parts.
