Does anyone know if this engine compartment insulation works well to quiet some of the engine noise? I am thinking about an air intake system but I don't want to sacrifice a quiet cabin. Thanks.

No the stock factory does not. Install dynamat on the fire wall to quite it down. Mine is so Frigging loud between the roof rack wind noise and intake some days I wish I had ear plugs!
