Hello fellow Nissan peeps.  I have an 01 Frontier Crew Cab.  My headlight lens is starting to lose some of its shine.  The lens used to be crystal clear.  You could barely see it.  I tried washing it but it did'nt help much.  Does anyone know any tricks to bring back the clearness in those lenses?  Hang Loose All

..

surfahjammer;

… I had a ’01 Sentra with fogged up lenses. I wet sanded them with #600 wet/or/dry then used the white fine compound to finish polishing them out. It took six hours but it made the car more valuable when I traded it in. Auto parts places have kits for doing it. If you use a machine polisher be careful to not burn the plastic… good luck… I think some car waxes damage the plastic..

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

Tip of the Month … Keep a fire extinguisher handy…even if it is not a Ford…

Go to the nearest car center and they sell this stuff that removes the cloudiness from plastic headlight lenses. You can also use Liquid Ice it makes them shine and takes away the cloudiness on the outside temporarily. But once it wears off just reapply it.

Brasso works well too. Just rub it on, let it sit for a few minutes, and wipe off.

yeah, I have used something similar to brasso but its  supposed to be stronger. Its called MAAS. You can get it at wal-mart in next to the cleaning supplies. Same process as brasso but its a paste so its less likely that you'll drip some on the paint.
