Has anyone installed their own hitch (w/ electrical connection)?  I'm considering it, but I'm not a gear head...i.e. I can change a tire, change the oil if I really want to, maybe replace the headlights but anything much more detailed than that and I go to the shop.

Just installed a hitch bought from Uhaul for $140.00 on my 2004 Frontier. Got the electrical hook-up kit from Nothern Tools. The Hitch was pretty much bolt on, I have the c-channel frame so had to drill one 1/2 hole on each side of lower frame.

The light kit made the electrical part real easy, just unplug the existing connector and plug in the two ends of the plug kit. It cost about $34.00.

The Nissan receiver was extremely simple, but I would imagine they all would be about the same.   Line it up on the frame and tighten/torque the six bolts.  I also purchased the Nissan light kit, which comes with all the connectors and three relays that you install behind the passenger side kick panel.  Instructions and all the hardware is included.  Pretty easy job, good luck.
