This is driving me crazy. My fronty got a check engine light last week. When starting from a stop, on a hot day, it will stick to second gear, will not shift untill 20 minutes or so, after the cabin gets cool with the a/c.

The Overdrive button on the shift will not work either. Code P1605 tells me its a miscommunication between the main computer and this module. Dealer told me it is located above the pedals, but I see 3 similar boxes and can't figure out which one is the Transmission module.

Have any of you guys had this annoying problem? Do you please know exactly where this module is located?

Thanks a lot!!

Without a FSM, I wouldn't be able to help you too much.  But here's a good suggestion.

DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FIRST.  AND MAKE SURE YOU GROUND YOUR BODY.  If you pull the wrong harness, and have a static charge hit the ECU... it's pretty much fried.

Disconnect each harness from the boxes, check for corrosion or a loose connection.  If everything is good, reconnect and go onto the next one.  Note: when you pull the harness off, there should be a dielectic gel (looks like petroleum Jelly).  That's normal, and actually protects the connection.

That sounds like a plan. I will try it tomorrow. I don't know what FSM means, but anyway, thanks!.

I will post the results as soon as I do it.

Thanks again for the info!.
