My personal favorite is Eldorado tires.  For some reason they're hard to come by though.

IDK how well Wranglers are... I'll find out this winter.  But when I was talking to the guy at Sam's Club, he said their new tread design isn't as good as the old ones.

STAY AWAY from Cooper Trendsetter IIs.  THEY SUCK.  I had a set of BF Goodrich one time on my HB... loved them to death.  They did ok during the winter.

i thought the general stock tires sucked too.  though they do make a clone of the oem tire that is H rated, which i believe is two up from our stock S rated tires.  that would increase your sidewall hardness a little and make the truck corner a little tighter.  keep in mind it will break traction sooner because the tire flexes less around corners.   my only problem with the oem tires is their wet weather capabilities in rain and puddles.   EXCELLENT mileage,  OK in snow since i have 4x4.    80,000 miles + on my stock tires.   i'm going for mud tires next tho. later.

I use my truck on the street primarily and with the costs I went for mileage.  I got some Cooper Super Road Service 30x7.00-15LT they look like UPS tires.  But with 6 plys instead of 4 I'm getting about 2 mpg more.  The only downside they are a little stiffer ridewise, but she likes it that way.

..

... In the last twenty years we have had General, Cooper, Goodyear, Bridgestone, and B F Goodrich all terrain type tires on our 4x4s. At the minute we have BFG KO 31x10.50 AT tires on our ‘76 401 V-8 Wagoneer 4x4 and the very same on our ‘99 V-6 Frontier 4x4. And when our ‘99 V-8 Grand Cherokee 4x4 needs new shoes it will also be the BFGs with the tri-guard sidewalls.

... The Wagoneer has been on the BFGs (two sets) for twenty years straight and no failures. The ‘99 Frontier came with BFG Long Trails and they were good and I didn’t have any problems but the rubber got hard with age (like the Desert Duelers I once had) and lost ALL wet pavement traction in three and a half to four years.

Have a good one    and CUL.. Don S..

I had great success on my 93 Cherokee with BFG's, first a set of all-terrains and later with just a set of basic TA Radials.

The best tires I have ever owned on any car/truck were on my '98 Fronty k/c 4x4. They were Perrelli Norsemen I got 50,000 miles out them, oh yeah I never rotated, balanced or aligned it. I don't know if they still make them or not its a shame if they don't, I replaced them with BFG's.
