im getting ready to put wheels and tires on my frontier. the one i have came stock with the 16 inch and i was talking to my buddy, and i was thinking about just getting them powder coated. but im i wanted some input first.
what would be the best size rim and width. and what would be the best kind of tire for road and mud. and with the new wheels and tires on it i was hopping that they would raise it maybe an inch or two?

I doubt you'll get a full 2" out of just tires/wheels on the Frontier as it already has decent size tires from the factory.
If you want a tire for the mud and the road, make sure its a radial mud terrain. Several companies make these kind of tires.

I personally like the look of powdercoated rims. But that will be up to you.
I have personal experience with the BFG mud terrains and the BFG all
terrains. The muds have good traction but are a bit noisy on the road.
The all terrains were solid performers in all conditions and I got much
better mileage out of them over the muds. I still have the stock tires on
my 07 Crew Cab and won't hesitate to replace them with the BFG AT KOs.
Another good tire that is a crowd favorite among the Jeep folks is the
Goodyear MTRs. Hope that helps a bit. Also Tirerack.com is a great place
to compare tires.

powerdercoat is good i like the way they look. bfg mud terrains are also great but ask ur self how often do u go off roading. i know few friends of mine that have great tires and lifted trucks but they dont use it off raoding just for looks why build it if NOT use it. i have 05 se cc frontier and im looking forward to liftting it and not sure what to get if theres any1 please im open for any suggestion.

keep in mind that to get two inches out of tire you'll need to run a tire that is four inches larger than before. Why buy rims iof you don't need em? Thetruck already comes with sweet rims. There are many good cross voer tires out there. Make sure you get a tire in the size you want in a c load range. Any more anf you;re paying for tire you can'y use and weight you can't handle and the price tag is much higher. The stock 32" size is rated as a 1 ton tire so it is very hard to come by a c range tire. Go to a 33" and the market opens right up. Have fun and listen to the tire guys at the shop, they sell everyting and hear everything from every customer on every tire. They would know.

if ita an daliy driver like 80% on road michlin ltx ms tire ride great lt c rated if u need an at tire procomp at seen them on a 4 pooper jeep went all over the forest mt general grabbers are good mt procomps cooper good tire bfg mt are good tires rember off brand sale tires can hurt in long run weird wear,road, loud road noisse, sponggy lane changes rember u get what u pay for

has anyone heard of Wild Country? I had a set stolen and have never been
able to find another set or any info on line. I have seen them in the
dumpster and on a local guys truck in the forum, but no one knows anythng
about them here. They were an awesome like I've never seen before.

hi cordovan is who made the wild country that i had rvt mud tire they seemed to be on the wide and loved them on my dodge great off road tire the all terain wild countrys do`t know bout check small shops were u live down in florida were i live gator tire is a tire chain that carried them go google rvt tire u might find a shop by were u are

Checked out the locations you gave and the tires are by the same name but not of the same tread pattern. The tires I am looking for are not the rvt. The centre blocks look like "c" with the "c" facingto the outside and they are ready for studs. They were not in lt or metric sizes. Just atriaght 33/12.5r15. If I could get my hands on another set, they would be great candidates for getting the centre tread blocks siped or knifed. Thye cleaned at any speed, were moderately loud, wore awesome, were unstoppable in the mud for any weight of truck and at any power level. I ran them on a "83 yota with no box and the 22r and I was pulling out by buudy with equal size tires and 400hp. Thye never let me downand we were separated before our proper time. I'll keep looking.
