what makes a marine woofer/speaker "marine"?

im thinking, since ive got extremely limited room in the cab, i could find a marine subwoofer (found a bazooka tube one) and just put that in the bed up near the front corner or something.

but having the sub outside of the cab would make the bass less effective, right?

Yep... you'll hardly hear it, let alone feel it. A Marine woofer is just a subwoofer that was sealed off, and made of materials that won't get damaged by water.

seeing how ive got a regular cab, that site will not help me at all.

im basically trying to think of any way for me to have a woofer without me having to slide the seat way up.

you know u coulnd just go in to a stereo shop and have them build a box that fits ur needs, or atleast have them give u some exaples, i dunno where u live but i know a couple shops in cali that specialize in that sort of thing.

Check out these. www.illusionaudio.com They make shallow mount subs. These would be your best option.
