After 1100 miles, I changed the oil and filter on my 2007 Nissan Frontier with the V-6.  Filter was tight but came off with a tight fitting oil filter "socket" cap and a breaker bar.  New filter (Nissan) went on well and I used a new copper crush gasket on the oil pan bolt.   All went well; I used Mobil 1 5W-30, an oil I have used for years in all my vehicles.  Nissan has a little chute under the filter that directs the oil right down into my waste oil container.  A very nice touch, I thought.

Question:  Are there any grease fittings on these trucks?  Looked to me like everything is a sealed fitting and I could not find anything in the owner's manual.  Can anyone comment on this please?  I amused to my old Chevy truck with 14 fiitngs.

Almost all vehicles come equipped as non-greasable. Once a part wears out, such as a tie rod end or upper/lower balljoints, you replace it with ones that do have zerts.

It's been this way for years now, even on the 80's models GM cars and trucks (and probably other makes and models), they were greaseless till it come time to replace them.

If it makes ya feel any better, I can't find one zert on my 05 Frontier, lol

Smitty, my wife's Saturn is all sealed and requires no grease.  It is just shy of 50,000 miles and is a 2003 model.  However, my 97 Chevy truck was filled with greasable joints.  Just wondered if there were any under the Frontier I was missing.  I've looked and have not found any at all.

Thanks for the reply!
