got nissan frontier 2000 v6, while driving just stoped inthe middle of the road, towed home on nutural. got timing belt to replace but after opened timing belt cover and replaced, now cam on right side seems locked .

can any one help?

So the cam is locked up tight? With the chain off, can you turn the cam freely with a wrench or something? Sounds like a bearing may have seized up.

If the timing belt broke and/or the right hand cam slipped out of time with the pistons there might be some bent valves that will not close and a piston can’t get to top dead center.

Hope I’m wrong… but I've seen it happen to other engines.
