Hi

I just got a 2000 nissan frontier 3.3 in it.well yesterday it was doing great well to day it started dieing when you would stop at a stop light.well now its has a ruff idle and smoking and you can smell gas like it is flooding out.someone said it could be the map censer .

any ideas would help because this is my first nissan

at idle you can unplug map censer and idles smooth but when you plug it up idels ruff

If the engine and exhaust system are fully warmed up and it still has water coming out it's possible you have a blown head gasket or cracked head. Check the water to see if it looks like it might be antifreeze. 

Sorry I can't help with the other problem.

Sounds like a bad spark plug or spark plug wire to me.

any codes?  might be an oxygen sensor too.  If it is coolant, it'll be burning it and that mean LOTS of really white smoke.  There will be no question when it happens.  Oil is blue, fuel is black and coolant is white, sh*t is brown and grass is green.  Maybe anitknock sensor?
