Bought an 07 CC SE 4X4 this winter without a towing package.  I'm looking at having Nissan install to benefit from their knowledge of the wiring and overall familiarity with the truck.  But there are other places that will do it considerably cheaper such as U-Haul.  Any advice/experience with this?

I ordered mine with the truck so I have no experience installing one, but from what others have said don't go to uhaul. They will splice a generic harness into factory wiring and that could cause problems. The Nissan wiring comes with the trailer wiring harness and relays needed for the lights to work properly. It is pretty much plug and play and you could probably do it yourself. Check out this link, it has the instructions for the installation.

You could probably install the actual hitch yourself too. I believe it is just 6 bolts bolted to the frame, though they should be torqued to spec. The link below shows all the different towing accessories.

I don't know if it's too late to post a reply to your topic but i recently did it all myself as well and yeah! It's a breeze! The Nissan Hitch just bolts on with 6 bolts real easy and the Nissan wiring kit is simple plug and play, although you do have to remove the passenger side kickplate! That's it!
