I just purchased a 2003 4X2 with a 4cyl, automatic transmission, and 76000 miles last week.

It throw the code for the egr valve yesterday. The dealer cleared it and it did not throw it agian, so they said did not do anything but just said bring it back if it does it again.

Today the service engine light kicked in again. I am assuming it is the egr code again. The only symptom I noticed driving after it through th light the max cruise speed at 2200 rpm was aabout 50-55 mph.

If I am thinking right the egr valve would cause problems at low speeds not high speeds. Any ideas why the truck is so slugish at high speeds?

There maybe a faulty in the engine itself,have you checked the nissan distibutor rotor already?
