I broke down and bought an Armor Lid bed cover for my 06 Frontier. It came in today and I installed it. The installation was a snap except that it came with directions for either Ford or Chevy and nothing specific to the Nissan. I just installed the front and rear plates loosley, and once I got the lid fastened to the front plate hingees I just slid the cover in place and tightened up the mounting plates. After I slid the cover in place I used a bar stool to hold the lid open so I could reach the mounting bolts to tightened them. Then I set the cover down and adjusted the rear mounting plates in place centering the lock catches and tightened the plates down. The cover came with extra parts for the lock catch that is supposed to be used for another application, it's a good thing too because the lock tabs that were preinstalled were too short to work on my truck, so I replaced them with longer ones in the kit and all is well. Installation can be done in about 15 minutes, but you'll need some help setting it on top of the bed rails, not so much because of the weight, but more for the bulkiness. The fit is great and it appears that it should be pretty weather proof. The finish is awsome, I really like this cover. I was originally looking at the Undercover but couldn't find one for less than $650.00 or so with shipping. At some point I stumbled on to the Armor Lid and discovered that they just released them for the Nissan Frontier. I found the best price at http://www.mechanics-warehouse.com:80/, I paid $499.00 which included shipping to a friends business.

Nice... now go out and get some Turtle Wax F21.  It's a Vinyl/plastic protectant that will keep it looking nice and black for about 2-3 months depending upon the weather.
