I'm coming up on my 100,000 mile service and I'm looking for some suggestions on what to replace/change without spending $1,000 at the dealership. Also, is it necessary to change the timing belt, and/or has anyone had problems with this breaking?

It would be a good idea to do the timming belt along with this list.I had a friend wait till 105000 the belt sliped he now needs a motor here you go

1 timming belt and adjuster/spring and stud

2 water pump and T-stat all rubber hoses even the ones under the upper intake manifold

3 cam seals  and front crank seal

4 all drive belts also

This will set you back some $$ but if you can do the work your self it will save you a ton of money on labor on labor at the dealer ship. Here is a place you can get a copy of the factor service manual pay the 20.00 and down load the manual for your truck save it as a PDF
