Hey Guy's,
There has been some talk about the Quality of the OEM
Nissan Oil Filter ie 15208-9e01a.
This is the Factory Nissan Oil Filter that came on my
2013 4L V6 that I bought new.
Here is one that was Cut Open On "Bob Is The Oil Guy"
Forum. Most Thought that it was a Well Made Oil Filter:

You be the Judge.
I Post About This as there are some After Market Fan
Boy's Touting Their Brand and Bashing the Nissan OEM Oil
Filter. Many of them say it is much easier for them to
go into WalMart or the Parts Store to get an Oil Filter.
I usually alway's get my Nissan Oil Filter's Online from
Amazon, Ebay, Walmart.com, etc ~ Whoever has the lowest
price, Free Shipping and Free Return's if possible.
Sometime's if I'm @ the Dealership I'll get an Oil Filter
if the Price is Right. I usually get 3 or so @ a time,
and I alway's have 2 or 3 on hand when it come's to an
Oil change.
I'm not an Oil Filter Specialist and I don't have any
Affiliation with Nissan as an Employee or Spokes Person.
However as a Nissan Truck Owner It is important to me
that Nissan Truck's Last as long as possible.
About 30 Year's Ago Nissan Warned me about not useing a
Fram Oil Filter on the 4 cyl Hardbody that I had back
then, so once I was warned I've alway's used a Genuine
Nissan Oil Filter on my Nissan Truck's.
There was a Fellow Up North that Put a Million Mile's on
a 4 cyl Gen II Frontier. I called the Dealership that he
did business with and asked them what Oil Filter that he
used ~ They Told me that he got the OEM Nissan Oil
Filter's from them BY THE CASE!
There is several thing's to consider about an Oil Filter
~ Micron Filtering, Rate of Flow, Anti Drain Back Valve,
Material Used in Construction, etc.
If the Filter has a More Restrictive Micron Filter Will
it have Sufficient Flow Rate for the Nissan Engine ~ On
the Other Hand if the Filter is Less Restrictive, then
more particle's are allowed past the Filter to the Engine
that cause's MORE WEAR. Does the Anti Drain Back Valve
work to give instant Oil Flow on Cold Engine Startup & If
You have to Brake Hard, does the Low Oil Light come on?
So Far So Good with the Nissan OEM Oil Filter on my
Truck.
The '93 Hardbody 4cyl was still running smooth and quiet
with NO Ticking when I sold it @ 20 Year's with 174K
Mile's on it.
The '13 Frontier 4L v6 that I have now is Running Smooth
and Quiet on Cold Engine Startup's ~ No Ticking..
Don't Save a Couple $'s to Experiment with Your Engine,
But You make Your Own Choice.
Oil Viscosity is Another Very Important Aspect ~ Do Your
Research and talk with Your Nissan Service Dept to get
Educated.
If I thought their was a Better Oil Filter for my Nissan
I would buy it, even it it cost Twice as much.
