I have a 2007 Nissan frontier crew cab v6 with a automatic transmission. I was told by dealer the transmission fluid need to be flushed. I took it to another automotive shop that was running a special to service and flush all fluids when i went to pick up the truck and asked them about allt he services they performed on my truck they said that my truck has life time fluid in the transmission and I should not change it so they did not touch the tranny fluid. So who is not telling me the truth ?

It's a hard one to say. Transmission flushes can be good
for the vehicle, clears any build up. However just doing
the flush alone doesn't do anything for your filter.

Honestly it's really only worth it if you do A LOT of
towing or heavy hauling. I'm talking RV hauling across
country every year, or you use the truck for construction.

But if you just use it as a daily driver, I'd wait till you
hit around 100k miles. Get it flushed and have the filter
replaced.

If you check your owners manual, Nissan does not advocate
trans flushes or service???? Common sense dictates other
wise. The trans has a metal cleanable screen, which if you
are anal(like me) it could be cleaned, add fluid, then
flush. For most people it is more practical to have the
trans flushed(which should be done with a cleaning solution
first) every 30K miles. This insures no build up or sludge
formations. The biggest concern on these vehicles is rad
cooler failure which will destroy the trans. Be sure to use
the specific fluid, Nissan has about 6 different varieties.
