Your squeak at hard lock is the stopper bolt attached to front wheel assembly rubbing against plate welded to front cross member, look next to your lower ball joint you'll see the gouges on the plate it rubs against. My 91 navara makes this hideous noise grease helps

I used to hear a front underneath squeak when I go over bumps and a loud tack, tack, tack when the steering wheel is in full turn once in awhile. This was the time when I was using my truck 2-3x/wk. But now that I use it everyday, I haven't heard them for a long time. Even my SES light does not come on anymore that I'm beginning to miss it

"My front end squeaks badly, but only when the wheel is turned all the way to one side or the other. I suspected it was something with the shocks, but after a new set of those, still squeeks. I call it a squeek; it's more of a harsh metallic creak. Wish I could figure out what the heck causes it. "
Squeaks when turning the wheel all the way, could be steering stops as well, my Front produces a beautiful CRACK when the wheel is turned all the way. According to the dealer its normal you just gotta put that Zerk grease on the stops and it temporarily stops the noise until the grease wears off

Benjamin5, What year is your truck? Take a close look at the sway bar connections to your lower control arms and see if there are any cracks there. It could be the bushings on those bolts trying to break through. These are the sounds mine made before these two brackets sheared off. By the time I found out what it was, my warranty was up. Others have said the bolts have broken and I think since then Nissan has put stronger bolts in their place but yet to have resolved the problem.
Since then I have taken out the bushing bolts because they kept clanging against all the other steering components when driving over dips. Although it stops the racket and increases articulation a bit, it also shimmys a little and I'm sure it will affect the wear of my tires.
see my photos for detail

I'd better check my bushing bolts. Thanks for the picture.

Top pictures are of my 04 Frontier, I notice the noise mostly when I'm backing out of my driveway, I have the steering to the hilt and the end of my driveway into the street is a bit bumpy.
I'm going to lube this up with real heavy grease that we use on the forklifts here at my work and see what happens.
I'm also squeaking while steering straight and hitting bumps in the road. Maybe shocks or springs? Haven't investigated that yet.
