scaprkey... What state are you in? Just curious, Im in Georgia and was wandering if this is a nationwide issue or if it might be locallized...
You need to call 800-nissanusa and press them for a recall. I call them and email about 3 time a week.. I get no replies from email and denial on the phone..

Mike,
I'm in Northern VA outside DC.
BTW.. Someone mentioned catastrophic failure of the steering linkage. How do you define "catastrophic"? Are we talking about complete loss of control?
Two words Nissan needs to consider at a point like this.... Class Action.

My truck finally got fixed after 3 times at the dealership. I am in Northern California. Nissan will not admit in this area that there is something wrong with their trucks. Yesterday I went to MSN AUTO and I was able to post my concerns under User reviews. Maybe you all want to go to that website since many consumers go there and ck out the feedback before they buy their vehicles. Now I just have to deal with the crooked steering wheel they left me with after replacing the steering column.

KMACHIN, they should have done an alignment after replacing the column. I got the alignment report when I picked the truck up.
To save anyone the trouble, there are no service bulletins posted on National Highway Transportation Safty Administration (http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov).
There is a link to submitting a saftey concern but I haven't taken the time to do so.

I just got finished filing a complaint @ NHTSA... I was the one who said "Catostrophic" Though, I was not in a wreck at the time, I was going> 60mph when the wheel locked up on me! That in my opinion is "Catostrophic" Not complete loss of control, but very close to it.

Got mine back from Nissan. The alignment settings were horribly out of range. I asked them for the tecnical report, and was amazed at all of the "out of range settings" So, this was ither that way from the factory or was the result of the steering repair.. I will post those settings later..

Can anyone please post a pic of the part in the steering column that is in question? Or is it the whole column itself?
Thanks
