I have an 06 Nismo Crew Cab and it does the same thing.  The dealer told me it was due to the "lockabel Posi-traction" type rear and and not to worry.  I think the dealer is BSing me.

I had the same problem in my 02 Silverado, ended up granading 2 rear ends??????

Does any one have info on this?????

I think the bump you are feeling is the driveshaft spline.  When you stop the spline slides rearward.  This is caused by the leaf springs letting the differential housing rotate down, thus causing the driveshaft spline to slide out slightly.  It remains in this position while you are still in gear with your foot on the brake.  Upon brake release and acceleration the leaf springs allow the differential to pitch up, thus causing the spline to push forward.  This movement is what you are hearing/feeling.  Some do this and others do not.  GM had a problem with this in their pickups.  They had a replacement driveshaft that had nickel plating on the spline to remedy the problem.  On some models you could remove the driveshaft and lubricate the spline with a special grease.  However, this was not a permanant fix.  I would not be concerned about this unless the spline wears enough to cause the driveshaft to vibrate.  My new 06 frontier with 300 miles on it does the same thing.

Hello, I thought I was the only one with the same problem.  I took it to the dealership & they said that this is normal. It is buggin the s**t out of me. I don't even drive it as much. I bought it in Nov 05 & I have only put barely 5000 miles. I am going back to another dealership next week. If they don't fix it I'll probably be selling my truck. I can't stand it anymore. So in case I do sell it I will be selling my factory Tonneau if anyone is interested.

it is not a problem this is normal it is the high pump torque converter it requires more rpm to turn the bands in the trans due to the low end torque the vq makes have a frind that is a mechanic at slidell nissan the titans do it also if you dont like it go and buy a piece of sh*t american vehicle the japs know what they are doing
