I just lay my bikes in the bed of my truck. That is why I bought a truck - so I don't need to mess with all these racks.

So I was just looking for a Frontier Accessory and stumbled across these:

Picture shows them in the side rail, but they must also work in the bed rail, musn't they?

I am not sure who makes them, but so many people think that the utili-track system would be perfect for this. I wish Nissan would sell a cleat specifically for putting a bike on.

Check out Thule http://www.thule.com/  they have a bracket for front forks that looks like it could be adapted to the utilitrack cleats. It's a # 821 low rider

Yea, this is a little late to the topic but maybe it'll help someone.  If you want a bike rack for little or no money but is still: simple, secure, and stays out of the way try this.
(On a 2000 CC SE with drop in bedliner) I bought a 6 foot length of 2.5 inch pvc, two t-joints, 2 kryptonite cables, two bungie cords and a bike fork mount. Drill and bolt the bike mount to the pipe(I drilled for two and installed one)  The hooks both sides of the bed nearest the cab were my anchors, I cut the pipe for a close fit maybe 2 inches under the inside width of the bed. (Also the fit is so close with the T-Joints that you must bevel one side of the pipe, put one t-joint on, place pipe in bed, and slide the other t-joint  over the beveled side.) Cut just enought so that one open end of each t-joint would slide over the hooks when the pipe was in the bed. (Little or no play in the fit)
I then put the loop of one side of the krytonite cable over one bed hook, ran it through the pipe to the other side, then through the other T-joint so it ran through the hook and out the t-joint toward the rear of the truck.  This pretty much secured the pipe to the bed and left about 2 feet of cable for me to lock things to; like wheels if I didn't want the cab to get muddy.  You can leave the cable out or loop it back like in the picture. Its a pain running the cable the first time but its worth it.  Next I took the two bungies and ran them throught the t-joints from rear to front hooking them to the bed hooks and then to each other infront of the pipe(tailgate side).  This pulled the pipe even tighter and gave it some spring when the weight of the bike was on it.  Actually a perfect amount of spring.  And now you have a poor man's in bed bike rack.  I've only had to remove it once for cargo, it doesnt take up much room and it takes a while for someone who didn't put it in there to get it out.  Takes me about 5 minutes to get it out.  The cable secures it to the truck and you can cable your bike to the pipe.  Total cost was alot cheaper than a thule, and you can paint it to match whatever you want.  If you want more details let me know.

Sorry to be so late in replying, but below is a link to a front fork holder that works with the Nissan bed rail system. I have one and it works great - even has a lock - my bike fits in the bed of my '06 Crew Cab Frontier (short bed) just fine.

There is another option as well: www.velocigrip.com

Attaches to utilitrack, works well.
