Dear Moderator,

I'm sorry for the pic but I just used the Icon above to upload the pics.  How you determine the order I don't know. The system put them that way. sorry.

Well I figured that it might be just that. I believe if you place your curser (the little blinker) below the first posted photo then... post the next picture and continully move the curser between pictures it will stack them verticlely... This is so you don't have to scroll horizontally to read the text.

Good luck.. Don S..   aka.. lakota

It is very rare to have the bolts loosen, I highly doubt it
was like that from day one. Did the t/c stick in the end of
the crank while removing the trans? As mentioned before,
you are very brave doing that job in the driveway. Hope you
have life insurance.

The little pilot bushing was stuck in the crank but I was able to pry it loose with a knife.  I had trouble getting the last bolt on the right top of the bell out.  Not being able to see it I was rocking the trans wondering what was holding it gently.
Since I can't clean the radiator I am going to bypass it, just go to the outboard cooler and add an in line filter to the line that returns to the trans.  For those who want to know the out to the cooler is on the left side of the trans or the test ports side.ClapTongueLOL

Even on a 4X4 it was a 2.5 hr job, but we had an adapter
that bolted to the trans and to the transmission jack. You

will find the bolts.

I replaced the torque Converter twice. The first one was stuck in lockup.  I was wondering though, I added the in-line filter which is a spin on type just like the oil filter.  I used a spin on filter of the same type as the oil filter and it seems to have too much resistance.  The oil does not flow through the filter fast enough. Is there a high flow filter I should be using for the transmission? Also, there is a water/oil gauge for sale and I wondered if it would work for transmission oil.  The average temp should be about 180-220 right?
