William, Thanks for actually reading the question!! I've been riding the beach since my first CJ 5 back in 1980-- so I kinda have a feel for it. No I don't use it for trolling in the high seas.
Best thing is the top of this page shows a Frontier blasting through the sand--I hope Nissan knows what they're doing.
BTW-- service center reset the warning code and it's been fine since then. I actually found the Off-road section in this same forum helpful--they actually use their 4 wheel drive.
