Sunofagun Lokota; you're right! Just looked on Toyota's web site and,in addition to building Tacomas in Northern Calif, they also build them in Baja Calif.

Kas1963: Why are you so hot to get rid of your 3 year old Tundra when you sound so satisfied with it? IMO, you won't get the same ride quality from a Frontier. When I bought my '07 XE KC I almost went with the Tacoma (I test drove the old Tundra as well) primarily because of ride comfort. Frontiers are what I call "stiff-legged" and don't react very well to divider strips and pot holes.

Good question.  Because I don't have 4x4.  My driveway meets up with the road that is up hill.  When it is snowing it is very difficult to get a good run at the road turning on to it from the drive way.  I was hoping the 4x4 would give me the extra bite.  Weight in the back along with winter tires don't cut it.  This is by far the best truck I have ever owned but the Lemon-aid guide doesn't give me a warm feeling about the Toyota trucks while it raves about the Frontier.  Also, the size is to big.  I also want a truck built in North America.

Well, they are built in Spain, and maybe South Africa, and Thailand, too. Last time I checked, those were 'overseas places'.

Hey all,
I was aware that the Frontiers were manufactured in the USA.  In this day and age I want stuff made here in North America.  Being from Canada I see to much going. I previously owned a Dodge made in Mexico.. don't want to talk about it!   There does not seem to be any 08 crew 4x4 Frontiers with in  60 miles of of me.  They are sold out.  Only the one 09 that I have tried.  Hoping more come in soon.  The drag is that no rebates on the 09's yet and a nice one on the 08's.  I thought trucks weren't selling  I don't feel like paying full price.  First snow of the year and no 4x4
