Add them all together, they could.  Also, did you possibly knock your front end out of alignment with thos big tires on?  That could really increase scrubbing friction!!

I just had the alignment done last week and rotated my tires due to severe cupping that suddenly started i nthe last month, but well before the drop in mpg.  Did not make any difference.  Funning thing is that I get better mpg on the highway now with the Fitch  installed, but the city mpg is still trash.  Also tried to install the adjustable camber bolts, but the factory ones are already siezed in there!!  After almost three years, lame.  I am pretty sur that I do not have any real changes in rolling resistance b/c I have tested out my neutral rolling distance on several occasions in known conditions and made the same distances i ussed to b/f the drop in mpg.  So that rell my it is an engine thing,  could one single tank of ethanol blend really have trashed my fuel system?

Well, city mileage is stop and start.  Remeber with heavier tires, it takes far more energy to spin them up to speed than a lighter tire.  And it takes more braking to get them to stop..  That being said, winter fuel composition may have a thing or two to do here.  Once in motion, all it takes is enogh energy to overcome friction, rolling rsistance and wind resistance.  These may be fairly constant with a slight increase in rolling resistance.  Stop/start requires accelerating a heavy mass and uses a lot of fuel.  Are you doing more stop/start in the city than you used yo? Are idle times longer?  Is traffic heavier?

Just some things to consider.

..

Ethanol is hard on steel and (think injectors here) plastics. So bad about destroying stuff that e-85 cars have to have stainless steel gas tanks and fuel lines plus many other parts.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

Support your Constitutional Rights by supporting (read as JOIN) the NRA Who else supports the Constitution?

The Constitution has to be defended every day that certain politicians (can you spell Pelosi ) are in Wastington D.C.

the fuel i ran was only 10% ethanol, not even close to E-85, so i thought i was safe.  maybe not.  still no engine codes.  still sucks.
