The shop manual says arrows up. Mine came out with arrows
up. So I went back arrows up but you say arrows down.
Please advise.

Cave,

The Dirt and Bug's are on top of the one's that I change
out, so I figure that the Arrow mean's the direction of
Air Flow, which is from Top to Bottom.

I don't know if it make's much difference, but I put mine
in with the Arrow Pointing Down, in the direction of Air
Flow.

So far The Air Flow out the Vent's seem to be fine with
my 2013 Frontier.

** This is taken out of the Nissan Service Manual for my
2013 Frontier:

3. Remove the in-cabin microfilters from the heater and
cooling unit housing.
4. Insert the first new in-cabin microfilter into the
heater and cooling unit housing and slide it over to the
right. Insert the second
new in-cabin microfilter into the heater and cooling unit
housing
as shown.
NOTE:
The in-cabin microfilters are marked with air flow
arrows. The
end of the microfilter with the arrow should face the
rear of the
vehicle. The arrows should point downward.**

Regard's.
