Adding to what you have

Truck of the Month rules

1. Pictures must be 640x480 pixels or less.
2. No photo-shopping (except for the obscuring of a license plate)
3. No people (except in action shots when someone is driving the truck, or the random person caught in the background)
4. No illegal or dangerous depictions.
5. Must be your own truck
6. 1 picture submission per member per contest. When submitting, you can write a description of any mods not visible in the pic, or any special things about your truck that other members should take into consideration when voting.

How does this sound?

7. Winners may not reenter the monthly contest.

We could have one/new thread/poll for each month of the contest.

Each monthly contest will be limited to the first five pictures that get posted. Others will be deleted. If a Tuck of the Year is done it would be limited to the 12 monthly winners. I can trans fer the PIX of the monthly winners to a new tread/poll for the yearly contest.

In case of a tie a secret vote will be cast by non-members.  

Keep thinking of ways that will keep people in line and happy... Surely someone will get their feelings severely smashed...

I was going to let 'thedave360' run it and back him up with what ever moderating and moving stuff around that he needed.

Rule #8. Voting ceases Seven days after the end of the month.  I should be able to lock the thread at 12 midnight CST or Daylight savings time. I don't know if a member that starts a thread can lock it.

... Another rule might be no posting on the thread with the contest pictures. The thread might get over run with questions and answers. What do you guys think? I don't believe the thread could be locked after the first five post photo and the members still VOTE.

Good rules will help the members stay happy. People feel strongly about their trucks and losers can get unhappy... Been there, done that!

I believe the Poll keeps a running count that anyone can click on. Once the thread locked it is over with. They will be voting for picture #1 thru #5... And the winner with the count gets his ego stroked. That's a pretty good prize!

It would be nice if our members would add their vehicle information to their signature (similar to mine) plus add their City and State .

A member in the same town might be willing to drop by and help you with a problem. Or drink all your beer! One took my wife!... J/K
