did you ever get that problem fixed with your alarm going off? i noticed that your post was for 2005 . . .
anyway, the same thing happened to my SC frontier a few years back. the alarm would always go off during the day. i took it to nissan and at first they could not find out what was happening and could not replicate the problem. on a second visit for the alarm problem, they did replicate the problem.
nissan said that there is a pin under the hood for the alarm, that in the event the hood was raised, the alarm would sound. they told me because of a rise in temperature, the hood would also expand, so although the hood was not opened, the alarm would think it was because the pin was not making contact with the hood.
they solved the problem by placing a washer at the contact point on the hood so that the pin would always touch the hood when the hood was in the closed position.
did you ever fix your alarm problem?
